Pacific Summer High School Institute Registration Portal

Register here for programs of the 2026 Pacific Summer High School Institute.

Registration is $3,800 for an all-inclusive two-week residential pre-college experience. Pacific alumni parents and grandparents, families of current Pacific undergraduate students, and current Pacific employees qualify for a $500 discount. There is also an automatic $500 discount for registering more than one student (or one student for more than one session) from the same family. Discounts cannot be combined. You can submit the full payment later by choosing a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your student's place in the Institute.

Session 1 (June 1–11)

2D Art Studio

Work with faculty from the Department of Art, Media, Performance and Design to learn how to create artwork using across multiple mediums such as painting, illustration and printmaking. Partake in a hands-on tactile creative studio experience in the most inspirational art facility in the region. The projects will be showcased in the Reynolds Gallery at the end of the Institute.

Acting for the Stage

Acting for the Stage introduces students to live performance. They explore core acting tools—voice, body, and imagination—to bring characters and stories to life. Students learn to create believable roles, connect emotionally in a scene, and collaborate onstage. Through movement and voice work, improvisation, and short performances, they discover how focus, intention, and bold choices engage an audience.

Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts and Reels

How do reels and podcasts go viral?  What makes a popular blog or vlog? Students in this program develop skills to create entertaining, informative, and concise reports on the daily activities and events at the Pacific Summer High School Institute. During our time together, students practice writing professionally for the 21st Century, which includes a multimodal approach on blogs, vlogs, podcasts, and reels. This course not only benefits those who seek a career in journalism, but who want to strengthen their written and oral communication skills for a diverse range of future opportunities.

The purpose of this program is to give high school musicians the opportunity to develop skills in the area of jazz through big band and small group performance as well as instrument specific masterclasses. The Musical and Vocal Arts program offers an enriching, immersive singing-and-theatre experience housed in the oldest Music Conservatory on the U.S. West Coast. Alongside individual voice instruction and musicianship training, students receive focused acting, movement, and dance work—scene study, character development, ensemble storytelling, and audition technique—so they learn to command the stage as well as the score.

Spanish for the Health Professions

In a program that covers novel writing from concept to publication, you will learn to craft your characters, create the world they live in and construct plots that keep readers hooked. F1tenth Racing

F1Tenth is 1/10 scale of formula one car structure but runs by autonomous sensing robotic systems, used to or to be used in many applications.
