Session 1 of the 2025 Pacific Summer Institute starts on June 2 and runs until June 12.

Check-in is in the morning of June 2nd and check-out is in the evening on June 12th.

Participants must be entering grades 9 to 12.

Description

How do reels and podcasts go viral?  What makes a popular blog or vlog? Students in this program develop skills to create entertaining, informative, and concise reports on the daily activities and events at the Pacific Summer High School Institute. During our time together, students practice writing professionally for the 21st Century, which includes a multimodal approach on blogs, vlogs, podcasts, and reels. This course not only benefits those who seek a career in journalism, but who want to strengthen their written and oral communication skills for a diverse range of future opportunities.
