Registration is $4,000 for an all-inclusive two-week residential pre-college experience. Pacific alumni parents and grandparents, families of current Pacific undergraduate students, and current Pacific employees qualify for a $500 discount. There is also an automatic $500 discount for registering more than one student (or one student for more than one session) from the same family. Discounts cannot be combined. You can submit the full payment later by choosing a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your student's place in the Institute.

Each program runs for two weeks and students within a given session (Session 1 is June 7–17 and Session 2 is June 21–July 1) register for one particular program. Business and Society

Session 1 (June 7–17)

Be an Influencer

Learn what it really takes to become a successful social media influencer or content creator. Topics will include finding a niche, building an audience and maintaining consistency. Students will learn the ins and outs of various online platforms and experiment with content creation tools.

Building Your Own Business

A highly-interactive and immersive program designed for students who are eager to explore the world of entrepreneurship and starting their own business. Through hands-on learning and team collaboration, students explore and utilize the nine building blocks of the "Business model Canvas." At the conclusion of this program, teams will deliver their "business pitch" to the class and judges.

Competitive Debate

Learn to execute the skills and strategies of competitive debate from coaches and college students who lead Pacific’s speech and debate team, which has finished in the Top 10 nationally for seven consecutive years.

Future Lawyers

In this unique, immersive two-week program, students will learn about the law and legal careers, guided by experienced faculty and aided by JD and other students from the McGeorge School of Law.

Investing in Stocks

Discover how to make smart investment decisions. This program will take students from investment fundamentals to actual investment trades on the stock exchanges through the Eberhardt Student Investment Fund, a signature program of Pacific's Eberhardt School of Business.

Police Cadet Academy

Learn about working in the criminal justice field through this Police Cadet Academy course. Participants will learn about criminal laws, vehicle codes, radio codes, safe driving and procedural justice while actively participating in self-defense and physical training (PT). Actual police officers and academy trainers will teach these learn-by-doing courses.

Taking Control of Your Financial Future

Budget your money, build your wealth, learn to invest, understand life insurance, navigate retirement savings and more. You will learn how to budget and plan your expenses and begin saving thousands of dollars every year by cutting out certain expenses.

The Business of Esports

This program invites students into the rapidly expanding world of competitive gaming — not just as players, but as future industry leaders. Students examine how esports organizations make money through sponsorships, tournaments, media rights, and digital marketing, while also seeing how core business functions — finance, HR, information systems, data analytics, and AI — keep teams and events running smoothly behind the scenes.

Session 2 (June 21–July 1)

Be a Lawyer in Court

In this unique, immersive two-week program, students will learn about case analysis, direct and cross examination, admitting and using exhibits, and delivering opening statements and closing arguments, guided by experienced McGeorge School of Law faculty and aided by members of the nationally ranked McGeorge Mock Trial Team.

Investing in Stocks

Leadership for Women

Explore how to be an effective leader through workshops and one-on-one sessions with top professors from the Eberhardt School of Business, alumni and community leaders, to build leadership and communication skills. Participants will prepare business case projects and design and run a conference to share they have learned.

Sports Analytics

Explore the fast-growing world of sports analytics. Learn how data is changing the landscape of athletics by learning about this $300 billion industry. Topics include individual and team performance analytics, sports management and contract negotiations.

Taking Control of Your Financial Future

The Business of Hospitality

What does it take to run a successful hotel and create unforgettable guest experiences? Building on Pacific’s Hospitality Management degree, this hands-on program takes you behind the scenes of the hospitality industry at our own Jie Du Inn, a boutique hotel on campus. Explore hotel operations, marketing, pricing, and event planning while tackling real-world business challenges. Discover how creativity, leadership, and smart business decisions turn great hospitality into a thriving enterprise.
